We never lost power during this ice storm. Our entire Willow street was without power but we live on the corner of 10th also and there was a few blocks on 10th street that had power. We did enjoy our snow week without having to go to work. The city was pretty much shut down because of bad roads and 80,000 residents without power.

Brussles Belgium July 31, 2008
Our trip from Uganda to USA was supposed to take 24 hours. While we were on our layover Brussels Belgium the Flight attendant asked if anybody wanted to give up there seat for a upgraded flight the next day. We had 3 minutes to decide. We were so tired from our all night cramped 9 hour flight and 3 hour layover that it was a tough decision. They offered a total 1,000 $ voucher and upgrade to first class. I asked them to throw in a free hotel for the night and that is what sold me. So we spent the day in belgium and are so glad we did. If you ever have this option in a cool city, I say do it. Just the first class was worth it, let alone the other cool stuff. So here is some pics of our 1 free day in belguim.
